Your Role:
As a Custodial Nurse, you will be an integral part of a leading healthcare organisation, contributing to the well-being and rehabilitation of individuals in a custodial setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting health assessments, delivering clinical care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop personalised care plans.
Deliver exceptional clinical care for acute and chronic health conditions.
Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team for holistic patient care.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies, coordinating with custodial staff.
Provide health education and support to promote preventive measures.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with regulations.
Oversee medication management, ensuring compliance and monitoring for adverse effects.
Identify and address mental health concerns, collaborating with specialists.
Implement stringent infection control protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
Offer compassionate support during crisis situations.
About You:
Minimum of 3 years in Australia as an RN.
Previous experience in custodial or correctional healthcare settings is advantageous.
Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Proficient in general nursing practices, emergency care, and mental health support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
