Are you an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse seeking a fulfilling role in custodial healthcare? Our esteemed client, a distinguished name in the health sector, is looking for a dedicated Custodial Nurse to join their dynamic team.



Your Role:


As a Custodial Nurse, you will be an integral part of a leading healthcare organisation, contributing to the well-being and rehabilitation of individuals in a custodial setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting health assessments, delivering clinical care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare within a supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop personalised care plans.

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care for acute and chronic health conditions.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team for holistic patient care.

  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, coordinating with custodial staff.

  • Provide health education and support to promote preventive measures.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with regulations.

  • Oversee medication management, ensuring compliance and monitoring for adverse effects.

  • Identify and address mental health concerns, collaborating with specialists.

  • Implement stringent infection control protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment.

  • Offer compassionate support during crisis situations.



About You:


  • Minimum of 3 years in Australia as an RN.

  • Previous experience in custodial or correctional healthcare settings is advantageous.

  • Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

  • Proficient in general nursing practices, emergency care, and mental health support.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
